The two Scan Lab tracks are for those attendees interested in learning more about testing protocols, scanning techniques, and instrumentation. Each Scan Lab track will include 2 one-hour sessions so attendees can participate in both tracks. The Vascular Lab Interpretation and RPVI Review track will provide an overview of physical principles, clinical applications, image interpretation, and reporting.

  • Review basic and advanced techniques of carotid duplex scanning through demonstrations by technologist faculty and opportunities for hands-on practice.
  • Discuss carotid duplex interpretation points with physician faculty.
  • Observe the technique for transcranial Doppler and the intracranial cerebrovascular examination.

  • Review the arterial anatomy of the lower leg and foot and related duplex scanning technique used to classify pedal artery flow waveforms based on acceleration time.
